Bao: your new home slippers
This story is really special for us, we are so glad to present the Bao slippers, a project we have been working on for a long time and it’s finally out. These slippers are inspired by the sixties and with a touch of Japanese style, and are made by artisans in Menorca, one of the most beautiful island of the Mediterranian sea. Made in premium suede leather and 100% cotton, they come with a matching bag so you can carry them everywhere you go. We loved the idea of slippers for travelling.
This story is seen by Salva López, a photographer from Barcelona who captures de light and the color in a very unique way, and that’s what we needed for the Baos. The pictures were taken at his home in our neighbourhood Poblenou, very close to our studio.
When Salva proposed to make the story at his house, we went to see the place and it was love at first sight. We loved that even though it’s in a warehouse, it is super cozy and comfortable.
The decoration is clean, full with Japanese details and his Noguchi lamps collection was the first thing that caught our attention.
For this shoot our models were our dear friends Caterina Jover and Caro from Matagalán Plantae.
With this pictures we wanted to express the idea of comfort and cozyness that the slippers emanate. So even when you are travelling you can feel at home.
